I am so happy that you are here and reading this right now, cause even though the money part is what we are aiming at, then the process of getting there is going to be just as exciting.
MY STORY
My name is Chris and I am the guy who have created this site. I have been in the online business industry since 1998 (yes the internet was actually invented then 🙂 and I have always been very fascinated by the way the internet connects millions (Now billions) of people all over the world in an instant click.
The first years of my online endeavor was however mainly about exploring this new exiting world on and how we suddenly could email instead of waiting for snail mails and read food recipes created on the other side of the world.
As the e commerce “Buzz” started, driven by Amazon, I decided that I wanted in on the action. So I bought my first domain, implemented a e commerce solution, bought a bunch of dog equipment and started writing material texts as well as taking pictures. Now it sounds like an easy task, but back in the beginning of the 2000’s this took a very long time, as we didn’t have online cloud services, Smart phones, Chinese “BringMeCheapEquipmentInTwoDays” marketplaces and out-of-the-box e commerce solutions as today.
The hazzle of running an online business
Well.. eventually I did make money on my site and I learned a lot about the mechanisms in online marketing and how to technically setup payment gateways, CMS, etc. After a couple of years I sold the online store and after that I started 2 more in other industries utilizing what I have learned.
When I look back, then all the time used on setting everything up handling logistics, customer care, returns, etc.. just wasn’t worth it. Worst of all.. I didn’t really have an interest in most of the things I sold. It was just where I found the highest markup. Not long after, I decided to sell all my stores to free up my time from all the hazzle of handling things that didn’t interest me.
The best of all worlds
in 2013 something happened that changed my life. This is the year when I discovered the solution to my problems.. I knew that I loved writing about things that interested me online and I knew that I loved earning money, but not all the cumbersome tasks involved when handing everything myself in my business. But that year it occurred to me that I could actually combine the two fun things and leave the rest to others. I found an online community where I learned how to treat my writing passion as a professional business, and thereby ways to monetize my blog.
I have since then created many monetizing blogs and I have refined my methods along thew way to reflect the newest technology in SEO.
SO WHY HAVE I CREATED THIS BLOG?
Well first of all I want to bring some clarity to what it takes to make money from a blog. We all occasionally hear about this kid on TV who made millions from his blog or YouTube channel. And that inspire us to think “if this kid can do it, then so can I”.
Well.. While that is so very true, then the road to being successful with your own blog, is not as easy and shiny as just sit down, write some words in WordPress and then sit back and watch the money rolling in. There are many more aspects of this process. This includes everything from traffic generation methods, website design and development as well as strategies to monetizing your blog. And last but not least: dedication and hard work!
BUT the good thing is that they can all be fun and rewarding to do. You just need to know how, when and why. This is where I will do anything I can to help you out, as others also helped me when I was new in the game.
